The National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD) will host the Health Disparities Research Institute (HDRI) August 3 – 7, 2026.
 

Application period: Wednesday, March 3, 2026 – Friday, April 10, 2026, 5:00 p.m. ET.
 

HDRI aims to support the professional development of promising early-stage investigators pursuing careers in minority health and health disparities science, and to stimulate new and interdisciplinary research ideas. The program will feature:
 

• Lectures on minority health and health disparities science

• Seminars and small group discussions

• Opportunities to directly engage with scientific staff across NIH Institutes and Centers
   

All applications must be submitted via the HDRI application portal no later than 5:00 p.m. ET on Friday, April 10, 2026.
